Once you walk through the doors, our friendly receptionists help determine the needs for you and your pet. |
You can visit with Spike and Ilean, enjoy some coffee while you wait, or just sit on the sofa while we get your paperwork ready. |
We have 4 exam rooms. Two of the rooms are designed for your canine companion and two for the cat lover. |
In our treatment and diagnostic hallway, we use our in house lab area where we perform testing such as heartworm tests, screening for feline diseases, pre-anesthetic blood work as well as blood work on sick pets. In this area we will also check intestinal samples for parasites and perform cytologies of various samples. |
This area is where we fill prescriptions. |
| In the treatment area, we have several cages where we will keep the smaller dogs and cats that are sick, being monitored after surgery, or need extensive treatment/monitoring. These pets can receive more attention throughout the day. |
Across the hall is our dental/emergency room. Since it opens up into the lobby, emergencies can come straight in this room for extensive treatment such as oxygen and intravenous catheters. We will also perform our dentals and prep for our surgeries here. |
| These hospital runs are very similar to the cages you saw in the main hallway. The pets here are often bigger dogs that are having surgery today, pets that are on IV’s, or just pets that need to be monitored closely. Because this is the central part of the boarding area, most of the kennel staff or technicians can peek in on them when they go by throughout the day. |
This is our grooming area. Pam is our groomer. She can do anything you would want…from a summer shave down to fancy breed specific cuts. |
This is our surgery suite where we do all of our sterile procedures. Pets in here are intubated and placed on the anesthesia machine just like in the dental suite. We have an electrocautery unit to aid in surgeries. A technician or assistant is always in here monitoring the patient while the doctor is performing the surgery. |
We are proud to have our new digital x-ray processor. This allows us to get finer detail and information than a standard radiograph. We can take pictures of anything from broken legs, to chest films to barium series. |
| This is our isolation room for patients. Any dog or cat that comes into the hospital with something we think might be contagious to other pets is brought in here. Most of the time, this would be puppies with parvovirus or cats with upper respiratory infections. If we know these sick pets are coming in, we can bring them straight into this room from the parking lot. We can then perform our examination and workup here so that they are not even entering into the main part of the building. |
This is our cat accommodations. We have standard cages, but we also have these double cages. If we aren’t full on boarding, we can open the panels so that the cats can get extra space. |
| This portion of the kennel is where the bather and groomer will place the pets while they are drying from their baths. We will also board the smaller pets and the quieter, older pets here because it is a quiet area of the boarding facility. |
We let the pets out in the enclosed walking area multiple times a day. The pets can enjoy the nice weather. If we aren’t full, then we are able to let them stay out for longer periods of time. Each pet is let out only with pets from their own family. |
This is our bathing area where most of the baths are done. |
This is where we board the bigger dogs. If your pet is boarding, you can bring your own blankets or food for your pet. |
